I roamed the showroom today while my rear tire was being replaced. A new blue Yamaha Majesty 400 was sitting next to the Burgmans. I took a few minutes to look it over. Here are my impressions. Likes: - The parking brake lever on the handlebar is brilliant! TheSwing seat was very uncomfortable compared to the 400. Check the Silverwing web site -- the seat is a major topic. The Swing seat is also about 2" higher than the 400. If you are taller than 5'10" that may be OK. The 400 handles the wind as well as the heavier Swing did and it gets 15 MPG more gas mileage. The400 gets between 60 and 65 MPG and the 650 gets 50 if you are lucky and most of the time mid 40's. Mine is a 2012 which is the last year of the original design but Suzuki tweaked it slightly starting in 2013 and these newer ones got a little better fuel economy I think. I have never ridden a 2013+ Burgman 650. Thedifference is night and day. I imagine the difference between a Reflex 250 and a Burgman 400 is ALSO night and day. I can't imagine you'll have any regrets. But I would encourage you to consider a TMAX 500. The '06 I'm looking at is very clean and has 19,750 kms (about 12,250 miles) on the clock which seems pretty low and it came from a local dealer which is nice. The Burgman 400 gets the gas mileage of a 250, but with the power of the Majesty. The Majesty doesn't get that much better gas mileage than a Burgman 650 or the Silverwing. It's a good bike, but the design doesn't seem as up to date.
